Easy Desserts To Make For Valentine’s Day
Who’s ready for Valentine’s day? Have your plans made up yet? With so many restaurants closed or at limited capacity due to the pandemic, it’s the perfect year to celebrate at home with a special dinner. Surprising your husband or wife with a romantic dinner plan can never go wrong.
The good news is, we’ve rounded up 2 mouthwatering easy dessert recipes that would turn out just perfect for the V-day and these won’t even take much time and ingredients while preparing. All thanks to the Crumbs Carnival Treats for bringing out the deep fried Oreos mix and deep-fried Twinkies mix to save us from all the mess. This home version of fried snacks tastes exactly like the State-fair or carnival snacks and in fact, it’s a good excuse to get a little fancier or creative in the kitchen.
Things you’ll need?
Vegetable Oil
Crumbs Mix
A pack of Oreos
Frozen Twinkies
Powdered Sugar
Toppings of your choice
Let’s get started with the Process
Preheat the saucepan with vegetable oil to 350 degrees. Put 3-4 cups of vegetable oil. You can use any other oil too like Canola oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil or soybean oil.
Combine Crumb’s deep-fried Oreos mix and water in a medium-sized bowl to a smooth batter. Make it lump free and consistency should neither be too thick nor too runny. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Now dip Oreos and Twinkies one by one in the batter using a fork or tong and carefully transfer them to the hot oil.
Do not overcrowd the batch and let them freely swim over the hot oil for 3-4 minutes until both the sides turn crisp and light brown. Pull them out with a frying basket and directly place them over a paper towel to clear out that extra oil.
Finish the look by sprinkling powdered sugar or you can even layer them with some rich vanilla cream on the top of deep-fried cookies
Serve these warm by the side of Chocolate Ice-cream. And there you go with your first batch of insanely yum Deep fried Twinkies and Oreos.
These sugared little treats are perfect year-round and will ultimately make your Valentine’s day extra special and will have your special someone singing ‘That’s Amore’ in no time.’ Just warning you, lol! Skipping fancy dinners and gifts but making a nice meal and some deep-fried snacks for the occasion is what you need for your sweetheart.
We hope you’ll have a wonderful Valentine’s day with your special someone. So, are you planning to cook for V-day or order in? I think there’s no wrong answer because the hospitality industry eagerly needs our support this year but cooking for your loved one is pretty much always a solid life choice.
