Wrap Up Summers with Deep-fried Oreos

Deep-fried Oreos literally translating to “mouthful” is a popular American fried dessert snack. It’s one of the most made items during state fairs and carnivals. You can see them in small shops and the mad rush at those stalls always. But the fun walking in the lanes of fairs while munching on these Oreos is incomprehensible.

They are crunchy sweet little dumplings quite similar to doughnut holes. We are warning you, they are very irresistible. The crispy outside and the soft and gooey insides all oozing with sweetness make them very moreish.

Fried Oreos are like fluffy bites of heaven that can be dipped in Nutella or chocolate syrup. We’ll share a simple ingredient recipe, eliminating the fuss and mess. A yummy mixture that will make a delectable batter and later dipped Oreos will be deep-fried in oil and later covered with all the amazing toppings.

Deep Fried Oreos

 So, let’s start preparing.

 Things you’ll require

  • Oreos
  • Fried Oreos Mixture
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Toppings of your choice.

(Freeze the pack of Oreos for an hour or so before dipping them into the batter and deep-frying)

  • Heat the oil in a large pot on medium fire. If the oil is very angry, the snack you are preparing to fry will remain as it is and the outer layer might burn up.

  • In a bowl put 4-5 big spoons of Deep Fried Oreos mix and water. Make sure you add water gradually until you end up with a batter that has a consistency like a thick cake mixture. Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.

  •  Now, dip frozen Oreos in the batter and coat them completely. Transfer them straight to the hot oil.

  • With a big spoon keep moving the balls around for an even colour. Take out when they turn golden in colour. Complete the batch and then re-fry all the balls again till brown in colour. (For extra crisp and crunch, you may also double fry them.) Drain on a paper towel.

  • Dust them with powdered sugar for professional finishing.

  • Optional, for extra indulgence: Make Nutella syrup by heating Nutella and heavy cream together. You can either warm it in the microwave 30 seconds intervals and stir every time. Or use a non-stick pan.

When done, put the fried Oreos in your serving dish, dusted and drizzle them with Nutella syrup and add some finely chopped strawberries and bananas on top.

 Oreos Mix VS Pancake Mix

Both the mixtures have their own importance. We have used a deep-fried Oreos mixture for the recipe because it saves time and eliminates mess. Plus, the battery delivers an extraordinary taste and aroma similar to the fried Oreos that are available in the carnivals.

Pancake mix on the other side is a traditional method to make this American delicacy but creates a need to stock up more ingredients like eggs, vanilla essence, whole milk, flour, oil and so on. It’s not fully convenient for the newbies as they’ll simply get confused while measuring the amount of ingredients to prepare the batter.

Grab as many as you want!

So, how many can you finish? Deep-fried Oreos is like an addiction that you can never get enough of. Imagine the gorgeous crispy light and fluffy balls coated with powdered sugar. It becomes more powerful when drizzled with Nutella or maple syrup, it becomes almost impossible to stop at one. Crunchy on the outside, soft and airy in the middle, this dessert will have you swooning with every bite. They take almost no time to make and an even shorter time to finish. Such a joy to eat!
