Deep-Fried Oreos - Worth the Calories

There are Oreos, and there are deep-fried Oreos. If you know, you know!!

These crunchy and cream-filled little treats will make the perfect ending to a savoury brunch plate. Do not worry! If you missed carnival eats this year. The Crumbs Carnival Treats has got your back with a deep fried Oreos mix that would definitely help you to indulge in boardwalk classics just from the comfort of your home.

Time to stop dreaming about them and try them right away. Roll up those sleeves and get prepared to put some fried Oreos in your belly. Recipe hanging down there.

 Ingredients Required

  • Crumb’s Oreos Mix
  • Oreos (Regular or Flavoured)
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Powdered Sugar (If required)

Ready to deep-fry your first batch of Oreos?

Step 1: Heating properly is the key to perfection.

Put some vegetable oil for frying in a pan over medium heat to 350 degrees. If you are not experienced with the frying, take the thermometer to test the temperature.

Step 2: Keep the stirring game strong.

Pick a medium bowl, add crumbs mix and water to make a smooth batter. Avoid putting too much water to it as the mixture will become too thin. Make sure the batter is thick enough to fully coat the Oreos.

Step 3: Final Level

Open up your pack of Oreos, dip them one by one into the batter using a fork or a tong and then further to the hot oil. Cook each side for 30-60 seconds until the whole snack turns golden brown. Do not overcrowd the first batch and place them on a paper-lined plate after frying to drain the extra oil. Finish the look with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Pro Tip: Deep-fried Oreos taste better when served with Ice-cream.

Can You Store Or Reheat The Deep-Fried Oreos?

Absolutely. You can store fried Oreos in an airtight container and can reheat before eating. The only thing that might change is the taste. They won’t taste exactly the same when they are hot, crispy and fresh. They might get soggy or mushy after a few days of storing. Although you can keep them stored for 20 to 25 days, we only recommend you keep them for a week or so. However, you have the recipe now. Fry the next batch anytime at your home and enjoy them with a cup of coffee.
