Quick Tempting Deep-Fried Twinkies At Home

Making deep-fried Twinkies at home might sound “too much” to you. Well, don't panic. The Crumbs Carnival Treats has pulled up an incredible way to enjoy fresh and crispy fried Twinkies at the comfort of your home. You no longer have to wait for any festivities or city fair to bite into crisp and soft twinkie. Just grab a pack of Crumb’s Twinkies mix and indulge yourself in a sweet treaty affair.

Stuffed with a creamy filling, these Deep Fried Twinkies are one of the most comfort and delight snacks that become everyone’s favourite just with a single bite. All thanks to James Alexander Dewar, who invented twinkies which were later promoted as "Golden Sponge Cake with Creamy Filling".

Quick Recipe To Make Deep-Fried Twinkies At Home

To make this amazingly delicious treat at home, you don’t need a dozen ingredients. All you need is a pack of frozen Twinkies and the Crumb’s Twinkies mix to help you prepare these mouthwatering snack cakes, just like a professional baker. So, let’s go step-by-step and we bet you’ll get addicted to them once you had a bite.

  • Place 3-4 inches of oil (vegetable, olive, canola or any other) in a pan or heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pick a medium bowl and combine Crumb’s mix and water until it makes a smooth batter. The batter shouldn’t be too thin to instantly leak in the fryer. It must be thick enough to give a perfect layer to the Twinkies.
  • Bring out your pack of frozen Twinkies and dip them one at a time in the batter and further to the fryer or pan.
  • Fry the first batch of Twinkies for at least 2 minutes and a crispy golden ball will float over the oil.
  • Let the Twinkies drain oil in the paper towel for a minute or two.
  • Dust them with powdered sugar to give a professional look and you can even serve them with any dipping sauce of your choices like jam or melted chocolate.

How Long Would The Twinkies Last?

Any fried snack will taste soggy or chewy if kept for a while. Similarly, with the Twinkies, they taste best when eaten fresh and warm. In case you wish to store, then place it in a refrigerator but do not store for more than 3 days as they will taste chewy and unpleasant. You will not find the same taste as it was on the day you made it.
